Search & Destroy

Themes I tried to use: In the dark, Winter, Robot takeover, 1 bit (ish), Platformer without jumping.
EDIT: I actually made a built-in map system, that shows the discovered rooms, connection of rooms, items to search, the two upgrades, and the terminals. I also draw a background tileset to make the place less empty looking. I made a small intro.

Years after the robot takeover, a team of soldiers find the hiding place of The Supreme AI on the North Pole, in an old research complex. Unfortunately, the harsh weather conditions made them lose their equipment and killed all of them, except one. You managed to sneak into the complex unnoticed. Now it's up to you to find the means to destroy The Supreme AI.

Search for a working floppydisk, assemble a disk drive, and collect malicious files to upload directly into The Supreme AI. Watch out, there are robots and drones that will try to catch you. Any unusable junk can be thrown to create some distraction until you sneak past the guards.

CONTROLS:

You can move left and right, climb ladders and operate lifts up and down. Press UP to activate lift buttons and search for items. Press and hold fire to see the throwable junk's flypath, release to throw. It will create a diversion for a couple of seconds.

Keyboard: W A S D or arrow keys (move, operate, search), SPACE or CTRL (throw), TAB (open map)

Gamepad: Dpad up down left right (move, operate, search), A (throw), Y (open map)

The game has a simple menu: ESCAPE or gamepad select, and then again, to exit to title screen. Use F7 F8 to set sound volume, and F9 F10  to set music volume.
